The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said when in full operation, the state’s Red Line railway project will process the transportation of about a million passengers daily.

Sanwo-Olu revealed this after inspecting the level of construction work already in place at Ikeja Mega Terminal of the Red Line, on Sunday.

The governor via his Twitter handle @jidesanwoolu tweeted,  “The terminal serves as a multimodal point of exchange, bridging the gap between the Red Line and BRT buses on the Ikeja, Oshodi-Abule Egba axis.

“When in full operation, this station will process about one million passengers per day.

“This project is important to me as it ties directly into our transportation plan and is instrumental in bringing Lagos into the forward-thinking city that we have envisioned for it to be.”

The governor, who is seeking re-election, promised to continue working hard to make life easier for Lagosians, just as he pledged that the challenges facing the state would be faced squarely.
