The Police in Osun have confirmed the arrest of some suspects after the rival cult clash in Ilesa which led to the deaths of four persons between Sunday and Tuesday.

The persons were killed at Imo, Sabo/Irojo Junction and Oke Omiru, all within Ilesa metropolis by Aiye and Eiye cult groups battling for supremacy in the town.

Giving an update about the security situation in the town on Thursday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said some arrests have made but declined to give the number of those apprehended.

Opalola, who said operatives were still on the trail of some of the suspected perpetrators of the crime, added that normalcy had returned to the town.
