Governor Hope Uzodimma has been sworn in for a second term as the governor of Imo State months after he was re-elected as the state’s leader.

The swearing-in ceremony occurred at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, the Imo State capital, at around 3:24 pm on Monday.

The Governor’s inauguration came just minutes after Lady Chinyere Ekomaru took her oath of office as the Deputy Governor of Imo State.

President Bola Tinubu, Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas were all in attendance.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, APC winner of the November 11 governorship election in the state.
