Ex-Olympics Eagles midfielder Popoola Sodiq, has revealed his desire to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The AS Salé of Morocco star said the new development and competition in the NPFL is attractive to him.

Popoola, however, expressed interest in playing for Remo Stars or newly promoted NPFL side Sporting Lagos.

“Why not would I like to play in the Nigeria Professional Football League,” he said in an interview in Lagos.

“The publicity and the competition in the league is becoming attractive to me.

“Remo Stars or Sporting Lagos will be one of the perfect teams for me to play with.”

Popoola played in France with Metz before having a brief stint in Belgium before moving to Morocco in 2021.
