A makeshift Banyana Banyana side suffered a heavy defeat against Botswana.

All the World Cup bound South Africa women players boycotted their farewell fixture against Botswana on Sunday leaving the South Africa Football Association (SAFA) to organized a whole new team that played against Botswana.

According to report on Times Live, the players were not happy with the match venue, Tsakane Stadium, as they suggested that the venue was substandard to host their World Cup preparation match.

The report also said the players are also demanding R1m (N40.3m) each for playing their three World Cup group G matches in Wellington, New Zealand, against Sweden (July 23), Argentina (July 28) and Italy (August 2).
