Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has said that he doesn’t know if he will be fit in time to play for Nigeria in their next 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tie against Angola.

Stanley Nwabali sustained a knee injury in Nigeria’s AFCON Round of 16 victory against Cameroon on Saturday. The Chippa United star collided with Cameroon winger Georges Nkoudou during the encounter.

Stanley Nwabali now has around a week to recover from the injury, with the Super Eagles’ AFCON quarter-final tie against Angola coming up next Friday. Speaking to reporters after the win over Cameroon, Nwabali, who noted that injuries are part of the game, said he would be fine.
