Former lawmaker, Senator Daniel Bwala, has suggested that the minimum wage should be around N250,000 naira.
Daniel Bwala gave the suggestion on Monday while fielding questions from newsmen. The statement is coming amid ongoing industrial action by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and Trade Union Congress, TUC, over failure to reach agreement with the federal government on national minimum wage.
He said in terms of being realistic to food inflation and cost of living in Nigeria generally, N60,000 naira is nowhere.
