‘Be brave’ is Mikel Arteta’s plea to his Arsenal players as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Porto on Tuesday night to make the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years.

The first leg in Portugal three weeks ago saw the Gunners lose to the Dragons via an injury-time strike from Galeno.

However, the omens for bouncing back look strong. The last time Arsenal lost in a Champions League last-16 first leg and still progressed was in the 2009-10 campaign – against Porto. They won 5-0 at home after an away 2-1 defeat.
