Nigeria’s Super Falcons sealed a place in the final qualifying round of the 2024 Olympic Games following a hard-fought 1-0 victory against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Monday.

Randy Waldrum’s side won the two-legged tie 1-0 on aggregate.

The Super Falcons started the game on the front foot and took the lead in the 14th minute through Esther Okoronkwo. Okoronkwo, who was named ahead of Asisat Oshoala in the starting line-up, hit the target following a goalmouth scramble.

The hosts piled more pressure on the Indomitable Lionesses carving out further chances.
